By unraveling the weather factors that impact snow melt potential, your team has helped the Town better understand how to be proactive in developing sustainable infrastructure.

Your team’s support assisted in keeping Town’s development projects moving forward efficiently. In addition to this, the review and introduction of updated municipal design criteria and construction standards addressing changing climatic conditions, continues to ensure the Town of The Blue Mountains fulfills its mandate for sustainable development.

County of Simcoe

Greenland provided exemplary consulting services to complete this landmark project. The firm’s attention to detail and proactive ideas was very important to assist the County in addressing the issues of concern about the study’s findings and also providing defendable, yet provocative, solutions based on best available science and proven technologies for the benefit of all local municipalities.

This letter confirms that the study objectives were met within the approved time frame. Greenland also provided a sizeable in-kind contribution to complete value-added deliverables and established new partnerships in terms of future watershed modeling and technology development initiatives involving the County of Simcoe.

On behalf of Council and the residents of Collingwood, I want to thank you for generously giving your time, expertise and experience to our community to assist Town staff in addressing the water capacity issues at the Raymond A. Barker Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

Since becoming aware of the capacity issues this spring and then implementing an Interim Control By-Law, this issue has been the top priority of Council. Your input and contribution on proactive measures to mitigate the summer/winter capacity differential and to increase the WTP capacity pending the completion of the expansion have been of great benefit to Council and to staff. As a result of your input, Council directed staff to include the option of UV Disinfection retrofit to the existing WTP as part of the expansion design RFP process and we are optimistic this will be done.
