On behalf of Council and the residents of Collingwood, I want to thank you for generously giving your time, expertise and experience to our community to assist Town staff in addressing the water capacity issues at the Raymond A. Barker Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

Since becoming aware of the capacity issues this spring and then implementing an Interim Control By-Law, this issue has been the top priority of Council. Your input and contribution on proactive measures to mitigate the summer/winter capacity differential and to increase the WTP capacity pending the completion of the expansion have been of great benefit to Council and to staff. As a result of your input, Council directed staff to include the option of UV Disinfection retrofit to the existing WTP as part of the expansion design RFP process and we are optimistic this will be done.

Thank you for your personal and professional commitment to our community, it is impactful and very much appreciated by myself and my Council colleagues.

Thanks for the note.  Both files went very well, both approved at LPAT and we are in detail design now.  The input from the Greenland team was greatly appreciated and ensured the hydraulic analysis was accurate. Conservation Halton signed off on the hazard mapping ahead of both LPAT hearings which was huge!

RE: Huntingwood Trail East OLT – Expert Witness Support

On behalf of the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust Foundation (aka ‘Trust’), I would like to extend the Board of Directors’ sincere gratitude to GREENLAND® for its exemplary technical support on the recent Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) case.

GREENLAND® was retained to develop a defendable, 2-dimensional hydraulic model of the Silver Creek system with many accompanying spills, and in the vicinity of the proposed development. Your firm’s expertise and proficiency with 2-D hydraulic modelling - floodplain management projects were also instrumental in achieving an amicable solution with the developer’s engineering team lead. The solution will now protect residents and property from increased flooding impacts associated with the original subdivision plan (and for only this development phase).

This included your impeccable team to always maintain prompt communication between the OLT parties, and providing staff expertise and support for a concurrent public engagement by the Trust. Your team’s attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration approach was also key to identifying an amicable solution by all parties of the OLT, and as part of an OLT Settlement.
